What will people say about you?

What will people say about you when you pass on?  The following was once said about Walt Disney “Because Walt walked among us, the world is kinder, more compassionate, and a more hopeful place than it would have been without him.”  Do you think people will say that about you?

Who Were You Born To Be?

I have really enjoyed reading and learning about Walt Disney.  His vision and passion to create happiness is really magnetic.   I believe that each of us have been made in the image of God and possess unique skills and talents that He wants to use for His will to be done.  I feel it is our responsibility to develop those skills and talents and God will decide how he wants to use them.  I love the quote below and wante to share it with each of you.

“We are all born to be who we are. Walt was a genetically unique individual who was born to be himself. His job, and ours as well, is to finish the job on earth that we were created for.   – Ray Bradbury, Writer

Your Happiness?

This is a recent post of Seth Godin that I feel you will find a ton of benefit from.  You can read more of his blogs at www.sethgodin.com

If your happiness is based on always getting a little more than you’ve got…

then you’ve handed control over your happiness to the gatekeepers, built a system that doesn’t scale and prevented yourself from the brave work that leads to a quantum leap.

The industrial system (and the marketing regime) adore the mindset of ‘a little bit more, please’, because it furthers their power. A slightly higher paycheck, a slightly more famous college, an incrementally better car–it’s easy to be seduced by this safe, stepwise progress, and if marketers and bosses can make you feel dissatisfied at every step along the way, even better for them.

Their rules, their increments, and you are always on a treadmill, unhappy today, imagining that the answer lies just over the next hill…

All the data shows us that the people on that hill are just as frustrated as the people on your hill. It demonstrates that the people at that college are just as envious as the people at this college. The never ending cycle (no surprise) never ends.

An alternative is to be happy wherever you are, with whatever you’ve got, but alway hungry for the thrill of creating art, of being missed if you’re gone and most of all, doing important work.

WHO AM I?

If you don’t know yourself, you will easily be swayed from your

purpose. In fact, more than likely, you won’t have a purpose.

If you don’t take time to define yourself, your belief systems

will be just a conversation piece instead of a way to live. If you don’t

know who you are, that means you don’t know where you are going;

therefore, any road will get you there.

When you take the time to get to know yourself, you start to

pay attention to what inspires you and what emotionally appeals to

you. You will then understand where you want to go and what path

you need to take in order to get there.

I want to encourage you to take time to sit down and ask yourself WHO AM I?

To Receive, You Must Give

It may sound a little backward at first glance, but it is true. To

receive abundantly, you must give abundantly. When we are

locked into the mind-set of just taking care of ourselves and our

needs, there is no true satisfaction. You don’t get the feeling that

you are changing anything or anyone in the world; it is just about

you, which is very superficial. Instead of trying to change lives,

focus on changing one life—your own. You must change

yourself in order to change anyone else. To change a family, you

only need to change one person. The same is true of a

community, a nation, or even the world.

Give, and give abundantly. I’m not just talking about money; I’m

talking about living in opulence. See yourself as a distribution

point for blessings and love. Give at every opportunity, and not

just money. Money is but a single source of opulence and

abundance. Smile, hold doors open, give hugs, compliment

people, or just let them know you noticed them today. The main

point here is to think and feel opulent in everything you do.

It is less important how much you give, than the spirit in which

you give it. If you give only to receive, you are not giving, just

trading. Never give while expecting to receive from the same

avenue to which you are giving. Give for the sake and the feeling

of giving. Expect a return, but remember that just as your

avenues of giving are infinite, so too are your avenues of

receiving.

You have been placed here not to take joy from the world, but to

give joy to the world.

Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you

as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens

to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens.

Dr. Who? Dr. You!

Regardless of a doctor’s specialty, the prestige of the school they graduated from or their years of experience, they can’t cure headaches, mend broken bones or heal a wound. Only you can do that… If your healing ability isn’t impaired.

Your inborn healing ability is responsible for the tremendous success that chiropractic patients enjoy. The only thing doctors can do, regardless of their discipline, is to help reduce barriers to the incredible healing ability you were born with.

Which is why all of us at Envive are interested in your nervous system. It’s what controls every cell, tissue, organ and system of your body. The nerves along your spine are the most vulnerable part of your nervous system. By reducing nervous system compromise from the moving bones of your spine, Dr. You takes over and does the healing!

How does it feel to be a doctor? Do you know anyone whose healing ability needs a boost?

What is Your Story?

If someone was to ask you what your story is how would you answer them?  Our story is the “why” of our lives.  Take time today and ask yourself what is your “why”?  Why do you get up on the morning?  Why do you do what you do?  Your “why” should add an extra skip in your step, make your heart beat faster, and your blood boil with passion.  Your “why” is your vision!

By the way…my “why” is to enhance lives!  I hope I can enhance yours in some way!

Optimism Can Change the World!

I opened up my email today and was taken back by the amount of negativity that is present all around us.  It made me think about my life and how I react to things.  I feel like many of you are like me in that our initial response is to be negative about our circumstances.  If our thoughts are  negative and our thoughts create our actions then what will we end up seeing manifested in our lives?  I feel that if we can change the way we see each other and our circumstances by approaching everything with optimism we really can Change the World!
